歌聲中的 I started a joke,
沙啞、蒼老、滄桑，
依然撥動我的心弦，
讓我很難平息下來，
猛一回頭，發現我也和主唱 Robin 一樣，
對價值、生命、情愛、奮鬥的目標都改變了。
將兩首歌背靠背，反覆聆聽，
發現年華已逝、聽雨客舟中的 Robin 詮釋此歌的韻味已經不同，
我發現我能聽出他重唱此歌的心情。
